TIDE (Technology Informatics Design Endeavor) is non-profit organization set up in 1993 and registered under the Societies Registration Act.

TIDE mainly focuses on :

• Identifying technologies brought forth in research institutions all over the world.
  
• Assess these technologies for suitability to the purpose
  
• Make adjustments, if needed, to make the technology suited for the purpose.
  
• Demonstrate, Implement and Disseminate these technologies among the public.

TIDE has completed around 50 projects and there are many ongoing projects. The funding for these projects come from the Government as well as international bilateral funding agencies. TIDE is registered under the FCRA (Foreign Contribution Regulation Act) and also has income tax exemption under section 80G of the Income Tax Act.

TIDE’s focus on technology keeps it apart from the other NGOs who keeps technology away from the masses. The technical team of TIDE consists of engineers, management professionals, social scientists, journalists and a lot of willing hearts who are happy to contribute theirs efforts for a social cause.
